The Ku band is a portion of the electromagnetic spectrum in the microwave range of frequencies. This symbol refers to "K-under" - in other words, the band directly below the K-band. In radar applications, it ranges from 12 to 18 GHz according to the formal definition of radar frequency band nomenclature in IEEE Standard 521-2002. Ku band is primarily used for satellite communications, most notably NASA's Tracking Data Relay Satellite used for both space shuttle and ISS communications.
C band is a name given to certain portions of the electromagnetic spectrum, as well as a range of wavelengths of light, used for communications. The IEEE C band and its variations, in particular, are microwave ranges used for certain satellite television broadcasts, and by some Wi-Fi devices, cordless phones, and weather radars. For satellite communications, the lower frequencies used by C Band perform better under adverse weather conditions than the Ku band or Ka band frequencies.
Fleet Broadband 250 by SAILOR is housed in a tiny antenna measuring only 27.5 cm in diameter and 33cm high, offers up to an amazing 284kbps of standard IP connectivity or 128kbps of streaming IP. Fleet Broadband 250 offers a far lower capital expenditure over VSAT, a far smaller antenna, and large coverage.
Iridium Systems are the only provider of truly global satellite voice and data communications solutions with complete coverage of the entire Earth including oceans, airways and even Polar Regions. Iridium's constellation consists of 66 low-earth orbiting (LEO), cross-linked satellites operating as a fully meshed network and supported by multiple in-orbit spares. It is the largest commercial satellite constellation in the world.
Commercial fishermen, transcontinental cargo ship staff, competitive sailing boat crews and aviation professionals can now stay as firmly connected to their colleagues on land as if they were connected to a land-based phone network. Marine phone systems use groups of geosynchronous satellites to relay signals quickly and reliably.
Inmarsat plays an integral role in the lives of seafarers. When it comes to delivering reliable maritime communications and safety services, no other network can match the global reach and breadth of services we offer - to suit all types and size of vessel.
The revolutionary TracPhone V7 and mini-VSAT Broadband service makes your vessel more productive – you can send and receive e-mail, access company networks, download chart updates, and use the enhanced VoIP telephone service to help your crew stay in touch with their loved ones.
Seatel Domes provide VSAT Communications and Broadband-at-Sea, Voice, fax, weather, high speed data, video, internet, C-Band and Ku-Band. The most reliable systems, more stable signal levels, fewer acquisition losses, and lower bit-error rates.

A cellular repeater, cell phone repeater, or cellular signal booster, a type of bi-directional amplifier (BDA) as commonly named in the wireless telecommunications industry, is a device used to boost the cell phone reception to the local area by the usage of a reception antenna, a signal amplifier and an internal rebroadcast antenna.
There are many technologies available to counteract wireless network intrusion, but currently no method is absolutely secure. The best strategy may be to combine a number of security measures.
A firewall's basic task is to regulate some of the flow of traffic between computer networks of different trust levels. Typical examples are the Internet which is a zone with no trust and an internal network which is a zone of higher trust. A zone with an intermediate trust level, situated between the Internet and a trusted internal network, is often referred to as a "perimeter network" or Demilitarized zone (DMZ).
IP blocking prevents the connection between a server/website and certain IP addresses or ranges of addresses. IP blocking effectively bans undesired connections from those computers to a website, mail server, or other Internet server.
